The Worst Thing I’ve Ever Said
(at least, this week)
“The truth is, I find myself more and more going back to things I’ve already read and loved rather than taking a risk on something new.”
(Admittedly, a pretty awful admission for an author to make. I’m looking to break this habit. Add your suggestions to the comments below…)

Life is too short to plow the same field twice unless you agree to share the experience with someone else; then the repetition is all worth it. Grandpa sez: “How ’bout that Cradle now?”
Haruki Murakami for the stories, Roberto Bolano for the sentences.
I find myself doing the same thing! I am a huge Chuck Palahnuik fan…and when I can’t find anything worth reading and my writing has gone stale, I pick up one of his books and it somehow resparks my interest and creativity.
