My daughter was at a sleepover tonight, so Sam and I had a chance to hang out a bit and watch some movies with Keeley. Bruce Lee biopics, a little bit of the X-Files. Then bedtime.

I stayed up for a while, to try and keep sorting through the mess I’ve made of things over the past few months on the novel. Some progress, but not much. We’re still working our way through the Winter Palace — which is one of my favorite episodes so far, but I sure wish I had written it better the first time.

And now I’m tired. I was told today that Mercury is in transpose, or something equally foreboding.

All I know is, it’s time for bed…
